Code of Conduct
The Essence Ambassadors is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all scholars. Participants are expected to follow program rules, respect peers and staff, and represent the program positively during all activities and travel.
A full Code of Conduct is provided to families upon acceptance and prior to participation.

The Essence Ambassadors is a youth development program that supports high school scholars through mentorship, college and career exposure, academic guidance, and educational travel experiences.

The program is open to rising 10th–12th grade students who have completed at least 9th grade and maintain a minimum C average. Participation also requires parent/guardian consent.

Yes. Scholars are supervised at all times by experienced educators, social workers, and trained adult chaperones.

Scholars receive mentorship, accountability, and guidance from caring adults who prioritize both academic success and social-emotional well-being.

Experiences may include college tours, educational travel, cultural experiences, leadership activities, and community-based projects.

Student safety is a top priority. Clear expectations, supervision protocols, emergency procedures, and communication plans are in place for all activities and travel.

Fundraising opportunities may be offered depending on the trip. Details will be shared with participating families.

Trips and schedules are subject to availability. Families will be notified of any changes, and alternative options or refunds will be communicated when applicable.

Families receive regular communication leading up to trips, and emergency contact information is provided during travel.

Scholars are expected to follow the program’s Code of Conduct, demonstrate respect, and represent The Essence Ambassadors positively at all times.

Families are encouraged to attend meetings, communicate with staff, and partner with us throughout the college and career preparation process.
